1. Who we are

These terms govern the services provided by lawyerslondon.uk ("we", "us"), a web design and digital marketing practice serving law firms, registered in England and Wales. We are a marketing agency - we are not a firm of solicitors and we do not provide legal advice.

2. Our services

We provide website design, development, copywriting, branding and search engine optimisation services for law firms, as set out in a written proposal or quotation accepted by you. Each engagement is governed by these terms together with the specific proposal.

3. Quotes and payment

• All quotes are fixed and itemised. Unless stated otherwise, 50% is payable to begin work and 50% on completion, before launch.
• Invoices are payable within 14 days by bank transfer.
• Monthly SEO and optimisation services are billed monthly in advance and may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice.

4. Client responsibilities

You agree to provide timely feedback, content and approvals; to confirm that all claims, pricing and regulatory statements published on your site comply with the SRA Transparency Rules and your professional obligations; and to maintain the subscriptions (for example domain and hosting) that are in your name.

5. Compliance disclaimer

We build websites that support SRA compliance (transparency information, digital badge placement, complaints procedure pages) as instructed by you. Final responsibility for regulatory compliance of your firm's website and marketing rests with your firm. Nothing in our services constitutes legal advice.

6. Timelines

Typical build timelines (4-6 weeks) assume content and feedback are provided within 5 working days of each request. Delays in approvals extend the timeline accordingly.

7. Revisions

Each project includes two rounds of revisions at the design stage and two at the build stage. Additional revision rounds are quoted separately.

8. Intellectual property

On full payment, you own the final website design, text and graphics created for you. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio. Third-party licences (for example fonts or stock imagery) remain governed by their own terms.

9. Results disclaimer

Search rankings and enquiry volumes depend on many factors outside our control (including competition and Google's algorithms). We do not guarantee specific rankings or enquiry numbers, and any figures shown on our website are examples, not guarantees.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or business.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement with 14 days' written notice. You remain liable for work completed up to the termination date.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
